Prof. Quentin Denost and Dr Barbara Noiret represented BCI at the 21st European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) Congress, held from 23 to 25 September 2026 in Prague.
As Chair of the Programme Committee, Prof. Denost also presented the results of GRECCAR 17, investigating the tailored use of diverting stomas following rectal cancer surgery.
He also spoke about improving the surgical care pathway, from the CROSS cohort to the SMART programme, combining low-pressure surgery with enhanced recovery.
Dr Noiret, a member of the Y-ESCP Committee, contributes to the European community of young colorectal surgeons and to knowledge sharing within the society.
Their participation highlights BCI’s commitment to clinical research, education and international collaboration to improve patient care.
