Prophylactic use of alpha-blockers to prevent postoperative urinary retention after total mesorectal excision for rectal cancer: a prospective multicenter study from the GRECCAR group.
During the GRECCAR / FRENCH / GETAID Chirurgie research societies session, the GRECCAR 17 trial was also mentioned. This study was offered to patients with rectal cancer and aimed to provide a personalized treatment strategy, with or without the creation of a protective ileostomy, based on individual risk factors.
