Three clinical trials were highlighted by Prof. DENOST and Dr. NOIRET during the "Best Oral Presentations" session, including a clinical case and a video communication, on the following topics:

Discussions on the medical management of LARS (Low Anterior Resection Syndrome), a condition characterized by impaired bowel function that can occur after rectal surgery.

Invited to Doha, Qatar, to present the indications and expected benefits of the TTSS technique used in rectal cancer surgery.

BCI was invited to speak on the topic of shared decision-making.

Shared decision-making in rectal cancer care is essential to tailor treatment to each patient’s clinical situation, values, and preferences.
This approach is particularly important when multiple treatment options are available, such as surgery, radiotherapy, or organ preservation.

BCI is pleased to take part in the continuing education day organized by our colleagues in gastroenterology, and to contribute as a speaker on the topic: Localized rectal cancer – Who should not undergo surgery in 2025?

Being able to exchange views with our colleagues European surgeons on the management of rectal cancer patients after an incomplete response or following local excision is always an enriching experience.

These exchanges are essential to improve patient care.

📢This clinical immersion is designed to provide colorectal surgeons with an in-depth educational experience closely aligned with real operative practice. Through live robotic-assisted procedures, participants will be able to analyze surgical strategies, key steps of dissection, and intraoperative decision-making.
