Discussions on the medical management of LARS (Low Anterior Resection Syndrome), a condition characterized by impaired bowel function that can occur after rectal surgery.

Being able to exchange views with our colleagues European surgeons on the management of rectal cancer patients after an incomplete response or following local excision is always an enriching experience.

These exchanges are essential to improve patient care.

The entire team — including the stoma therapist, dietitian, psychologist, sexologist, and surgeon — had the opportunity to attend the 44th Enterostomal Therapy Nurses Conference. They shared their experience and insights on the digestive surgery care pathway at the Tivoli-Ducos Clinic and the Bordeaux Colorectal Institute (BCI).
